Who’s Haunting McKinney?

In 2004, the McKinney advertising agency moved its headquarters from Raleigh, NC to the old American Tobacco facility in downtown Durham, NC. Since that time, many employees have reported paranormal experiences in the building. On October 30, 2013 McKinney invited Psychic/Medium Melissa Peil to their headquarters to conduct a live séance to figure out Who’s Haunting McKinney?

Melissa tapped into a spirit named Walter, whose spirit was stuck in the building since the late 1920’s. Walter worked as an employee at the tobacco factory. During his time there, he’d inadvertently overheard top secret information about his boss and later discovered his wife had an affair with his boss. Walter showed Melissa he wanted to kill his boss but at the last second, committed suicide in the area the affair took place. Since then, his soul was burdened and he would “haunt” the building McKinney now occupies, creeping out many of the employees who work there. Melissa helped release Walter’s soul so he can finally rest in peace after so many years.
